  1. do you think that seems a little gluttonous and hoarding? saving money is great, but do you really think that your system isn't too good to be true. for one, everyone else's prices go up because of people who bring the profit margins down. also, what ever happened to eating healthy foods, like fruit and vegatables, not pop tarts and 8 tubs of country crock. it always seems like the good deals are the processed food that are easy to manufacture and bad for your health. don't mean to rain on your parade but i definitely say let your conscience lead you.

  2. Boo.. why does my first comment have to be a bad one! :-( Anyways, to answer your question. Gluttonous? No. Hoarding? Well, we call it stockpiling. No, my family doesn't eat 20 boxes of pop tarts... I don't even like pop tarts! I've given away 15 of the boxs and kept 5 boxes for my husband who eats one on his way to work. If you read the rest of that post, you see I got the pop tarts for free and get a rebate of ten dollars for each 10! Shoot, for a free ten dollars, I'll get processed lard and then throw it away! LOL. As far as the margarine. It freezes. We use for cooking mostly and on toast. We also have a LARGE family (my husband has 4 brothers!) They love when I go grocery shopping because half is for them and my inlaws! Now, I'm not perfect and have my share of treats, but you can still get good deals on healthy food. Look at my groceries posts for the past few weeks! Salad, fat free milk, organic juice for my daughter.. ALL FREE! Use your overage and $/$$ coupons to buy the items not on sale that you like in your house. It seems lately Food Lion and Harveys are having a lot of $/$$ on produce and fresh meat.. By all means, I'm not saying buy what I buy, buy what you need, but look at ways to SAVE on those items. If you buy a bunch and store it, you won't need to buy when it's full price. Think of my "hoarding" the same as you would think of buying bulk at a club store such as Costco or Sam's Club (only cheaper!) So no, it's not too good to be true, it is true! Hope I helped remove those goggles for you to start saving money! Oh, and my conscience is fine by the way :-)
